Muddy Boys and A Bumblebee....
Jackson and I made some Chex muddy Buddies today, more for Ben then anyone else. We cranked up the music and danced around the kitchen shaking up the chex and the powdered sugar. He kept calling them muddy boys instead of muddy buddies. It was so cute, and pretty funny!
Jackson LOVES Transformers. And being a dedicated mom I went to Walmart at midnight and bought the Transformers 2 movie so he could have it when he woke up....He was so HAPPY! He put on his Bumblebee costume and acted out all the fight scenes. It was SO hillarious!

fOuR yEaRs OlD!
OH! Has it really been a whole four years since my baby was born? Apparantly yes. What a sweet guy he is. Here are pics from his birthday party.
I LOVE this picture not only for my boy blowing out the candles but for the dear sweet mother covering her boys mouth in the background, trying not to ruin Jackson's moment.
Amazed at the Sparkler candle....Even though I didn't get a pic of it.
Spidey cupcakes Jackson and I made together for his friends. They were easier then trying to serve each one a piece of cake, plus they got a little party favor.
Jackson was sucha good helper with his birthday cake. He wanted sprinkles and spiderman, he didn't care what else. It turned out alright....except my red frosting never turned red. Just stayed pink.
This piniata was the best $20 investment EVER! It stood about a foot taller then jackson and was SO fun for all the kids. We filled it with candy and party favors. There was SO much stuff in there all the kids were leaving with 2 full party sacks and there pockets full of stuff, with more on the ground to pick up! Side note: the little boy in the left hand side of the picture wasn't invited to the party. I don't even know who he was. My sweet Jackson just invited him to the party because he happend to be at the park at the same time.

PineNut Picking!
Whoa! Pine Nut picking has taken me to a whole new level of Utahness! I have never been in the the 16 years of living here.
Pine Nut picking was NOT what I had imagined...I did NOT imagine that I would be on my hands and knees crawling under pine trees Picking through the needles and deer/elk droppings that may have been there. I did NOT imagine having to pee in the hills, and I did NOT imagine that I was going to be as sore as I was for the next 4 days! But it was wonderful! and i can't wait to do it again with my family! The thing is...I worked SO hard for the 4lbs of pinenuts I collected I don't even want to eat them. I just want to admire them from in their brown paper bag.
Thank you So much RaSelle and Spencer for driving their truck and letting me ride along! It was so much fun and Haley for inviting me and showing me how to pee while leaning on a rock and not getting any on my pants!
This is our pinenut picking gear, the red thing is a bag that hooks to a belt that you dump your pine nuts into after you have filled your pail and also holds your toilet paper for when you have to pee...or poop for that matter (luckily I didn't have to do that). the gray and blue things are knee pads that strap to your legs so you don't get any pine needles in your shins and less pine gum on your pants. Thank you Ralene for sharing with me.
Haley is just finishing up nursing her little guy so naturally she had to do a little pumping so she wouldn't "hurt" quite so bad. The kids were so amazed that milk came from mommies they kept asking her questions about it. Finally she just asked them if they wanted a taste and well....Just keep scrolling down.
Here is Jad, He was the most reluctant. He promised the other boys if they tasted first then he would. This is him keeping his promise.
And this little guy REALLY liked it! He chugged like 3/4 of the bottle!

Small pail of pine nuts

You never know.....
You NEVER know how much a very small gesture means to someone, especially your kids.
Jackson was laying in my bed at 4am this morning, he heard the baby wake up and was making sure everything was ok. I invited him into our bed to go back to sleep and of course he accepted. After I put Dylan back in his crib, I snuggled up to Jackson and gave him a kiss on his shoulder, something I do quite often when we are snuggling. When I tried to cover him all the way up he says "Don't! Your going to RUIN my kiss!"
It made my heart melt....He is such a good little boy with a heart of gold I love him!
I promise more posts to come with the events of October! Love you all thanks for reading!

Squish a Boob, Save a Life!
October, if you didn't know, is Breast Cancer Awareness month. This cause is especially dear to my heart because of my Grandma. She was diagnosed with breast cancer had a mastactomy and chemotheragpy and was in remission when it came back with a vengence. When it came back it was in what they call Stage 4 (which is REALLY bad). She is now considered terminal and will eventually loose her battle with the illness even though she looks and feels pretty good most of the time.
My grandma is such a wonderful lady! She is ALWAYS looking out for others and for their needs. She makes dinner for a widow in her ward every Sunday and she and/or my grandpa take the meal to her.
She is very dedicated to anything she is asked to do and never does anything half way. She is a super decorator and her home is always clean and welcoming. She and my grandpa are converts to the LDS church and are perfect examples of honesty, kindness, and enduring to the end.
So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be dilligent in routine self breast examines and don't miss your yearly appointments!

Sneak Peek for Keely and Matt.....
Awww....to be young and in love and getting married again....Engagements are one of my favorite kind of sessions. The couples passion for each other translate so nicely in to photos! Matt complained of not being very photogentic. He was wonderful once I could get him to relax and look at the camera! Thanks kids for the great session. The rest will be done soon! I promise.
