Hoppy Easter!

Dylan's Blessing

We FINALLY blessed Dylan on March 14. It was so beautiful and special.

We had it in the Relief Society room after chruch with just a few friends and family. Ben gave a Fantastic blessing, and because Dylan is so big and wiggly I got to sit right in the middle of all of those worthy men who held the priesthood and hold my sweet little guy while they exercised the same power that Christ did while he healed the sick on here on earth.

And Ben even bore his testimony....it truley was a beautiful day.

Sneak Peek for Tiah and Joe

I just recently met Tiah and we totally hit it off right away! She is also a PSE 7 user and we started swaping tricks while sharing some Adamame (steamed Soy Beans--SO GOOD!)

I think these turned out fantastic. and she loved them too. Even though a lady in her ward saw them before she did. Dang Facebook!

And her kids....WOW! They L-O-V-E the camera, and give the best smiles.

Unfortunately I won't get to shoot at this Tractor too often. It's on her dad's property and he's pretty picky about who gets to visit. I don't really blame him, he has LOTS of fun goodies there. I can't wait to shoot there again this fall! Thanks Tiah!

Ty and Cristi Sneak Peek

Sometimes when I shoot a family you just have to step back and let the session take its course and as the photographer be aware of all that is happening around you. It's ok to let the kids play, they will have genuine smiles. Let the baby stay wrapped up in the blanket, so she isn't screaming in the pictures cause it's just a little bit too cold for her, and watch mom and dad, they are sure to show each other how much they love each other.

Thanks Cristi and Ty for letting me capture your sweet moments.

Miss Makayla

Remember being a "tween" how moody and dramatic everything is. That's why I love shooting this age group. They give you exactly what you want will pose silly and clever ways on their own. The only care is who like who on the playground.

Thanks Kay for being a great subject. I hope your meeting goes well with the talent scouts!

My Jackson is Busier then your Jackson....

MY Jackson can do his own hair.....

And he can ALWAYS find things he's not supposed to get into...

And MY Jackson can even touch his tongue to his nose and even into his nostril...

JUST a stay at home Mom...

This is what has ended up in front of my couch for the last several nights in a row.

I complained to Ben about his clothes sitting in the Living room again and he told me "well, you are home all day while I'm out providing for our family, so I think its ok if you pick up my stuff."

He was totally NOT kidding.

So I shot right back and said, "You REALLY want to go there, hun? I WORK a full time job from home, plus, I take care of our kids, Which technically is a full time job because people get paid damn good money to take care of other people's children, I cook and clean, I budget. I RUN our home. I never get to sleep in, I wake up before the kids, and I put them to bed, I wake with the baby in the night so you can sleep, and I still have to do all of my "duties" even when I'm sick. So honey, do you REALLY want to go there with me?"

Then came the silence....

And I REALLY wanted to say.....Yea, that's what I thought...But I didn't because I'm better then that.

I'm gonna be honest here....Being "JUST" a Stay at home mom is SUPER hard and has been a HUGE adjustment for me, and I really don't think I'm totally in synch with it yet. I have the best job in the world, getting to watch children grow and teach them according to my teachings. Even though its hard sometimes, and i want to lock myself in my bedroom I wouldn't trade it for the world.

So here is to all the stay at home Moms, you are the best!

A gReAt BIG bRoThEr!

This morning Jackson saw me playing with Dylan while he was still in his crib (standing of course). I kept peeking around the corner and saying "BOO!" I was about to walk away and use the bathroom and Jackson comes over and says.

"Don't worry Mom, I will protect him."

What a sweet guy huh.

He tells me two minutes later...."Mom, is there a library we can go to so I can get some new books?"

What?!? He is such a smartie. So thats where we are headed today to the library, to find some new books.
