What's in a name?

After we found out we were REALLY having a boy the weeping and wailing and nashing of teeth began as Ben and I duked it out about names. I think I posted before about this small problem....how he wanted Hunter and I wanted Ryan.....blah, blah, blah. So, FINALLY we sat down one night and I just started reading names out of a baby dictionary and we found one we love.



Dylan Patrick



Dylan: Because we liked it.... The orgin is Welsh and it means "a legendary sea hero"

Patrick: Because it is my Grandpa's name. (and we liked it) The orgin is Latin and it means "nobleman"



I love it, Ben loves it and Jackson loves it too.


When we told Jackson the baby's name was going to be Dylan Patrick. He says "Patrick? Like SpongeBob?" We giggled. He is excited because he thinks we are naming the baby after his favorite show. What a fun memory we'll get to share with the both of them when they get a little bigger.

Two Berries and A Twigg

Yep! We are having a BOY! We are SO excited! Jackson has been so funny about it. He puts his ear to my belly and says, "Baby, I can't wait to meet you. I'm gonna be a good big brother." Its so sweet. But anytime someone asks him if he is having a brother or a sister he tells them a sister. It's so funny.

Oops....I'm still waiting for a call back from my dear friend that up and moved and left me in St. George! You know who you are. You better call me back I don't want to tell you the big new via blog!

We got Lucky!

So technically we weren't supposed to find out what we are having until the 13th but yesterday we got to have an early ultrasound!

We wanted to tell our families in a fun way. So i made these little crafts and inside is a set number of pink stones (for a girl) and blue stones (for a boy) and which ever has more is what the baby is. SO.....stay tuned for an update with the big REVEAL!

Do what Jackson wants to do Day!

Last Saturday we had a "Do What Jackson Wants to Do" Day. When he said he wanted to go golfing we thought how about Miniature golf. He won't really know the difference. We had so much fun! After golfing we spent some time in the arcade, and then got Ham sandwiches per Jackson's request and went and ate at the park and played for awhile there. What a good boy he is. I just can't believe how big he is, it seems like only yesterday I was pregnant with him. He is such a sweet heart and with each smile I'm lucky enough to draw strength from him. I thank Heavenly Father everyday for him and his sweet spirit. :)

My Lovely lady lump...

CONGRATULATIONS! You've made it half way thru your pregnancy......

This was the welcoming email I got today from babycenter.com. I use this website so I don't have to try and track my pregnancy weeks myself. We all know how scatter brained I am. I would be going into labor and telling the Doc, "but I'm only 25 weeks."

So...half way thru....On the down side....I'm not really sure how I feel about that. 

I'm barely showing (I think), I've lost approx 30lbs, but my regular pants barely fit and only when I'm standing. 

The Doc. was ticked that I was still loosing weight the last time I saw him, even though I was following the Dietician's plan exactly, and watching my sugars. (which, I think, is why I'm loosing)

I don't sleep...and if I'm on the downside,  I'm just going to get more large and not have even have the luxury of being comfortable while laying in bed awake.

No, but seriously, I'm excited for the big day to be drawing more near, and to be over the hump, even though MY lovely lady lump is still missing (for the most part).
