Only four years?

Ben and I celebrated our fourth anniversary on the 29th of July. It can't believe it's only been four years that we have been married (we dated for four before we got married).....I don't mean that derogatory at all. It just seems like we have done so much in the four years.

Maybe it was because we were forced to grow up when we found out we were having Jackson and weren't married. Maybe because in the beginning we felt like we only had each other to rely on. Or maybe because just after Jackson was born and Ben was working nights we weren't sure we were going to be able to survive each other.....or our marriage. Or maybe when we finally were able to get to the temple a year later and were able to kneel across from each other and be sealed for time and all eternity. Maybe it's because we have struggled with going to church every week and the other one is always the stronger one the week the other doesn't want to go. Or maybe because I can't imagine my life without him....

As I sit here I realize how different Ben and I really are, and how much we compliment each other on the flip side of so many things. I'm so grateful for my husband, and the love that we have that only grows stronger with each passing day. How even though I'm home all day he still comes home and picks up the living room, or makes dinner, or loads the dishes, but my very favorite is when Dylan is awake in the evening and he lets me eat my dinner first so I can "have a break and enjoy my meal" even though he is REALLY hungry and tired from a long hot day at work.

"My love for him is not of this world. It can't be broken by anything, not by any worldly ideas of what love is. Not by death. Nothing. Love is Godly, God is love. And we are his children. Our bond will carry us to the eternities and beyond. It's not cheesy, its the truth."

Even though I know he is probably not going to read this I would be ungrateful if I didn't put it out there....I love you babe, thanks for the last eight years, and I can't wait for so many more.

Couple days later....

We ended up having to stay two nights in the hospital....(I can't wait to get the bill)

First we couldn't get Dylan's blood sugar to stabilize. and then his billirubin was too high. Poor guy got stuck in the foot so many times he wouldn't even cry when i would take him in to instacare to check the billirubin the following days.

Luckily he LOVED the lights. He would lay there sprawled out like a frog and soak up the rays.

Coming home from the hospital....

Jackson LOVES his little brother so much! He loves holding him. This night he fell asleep with the Dylan in his arms. It was so sweet.

Just born...

Here he is....Baby Dylan. If I wait to do too much editing they will never get posted.

He was born July 14 and was 8lbs 15oz and 21 inches long. (Exactly one pound smaller than Jackson---Phew!)

This photo might be a gross out but they are my favorite photos....so new.

Day before Baby....

Jackson is such a sweet little guy. The day before Dylan was born Jackson wanted to "help" me get ready. He asked if he could paint my nails. It was so sweet. How could I not let him. (Luckily he chose an opal color. They looked pretty good for a three year old.

Fourth of July....

I know it's REALLY late but I wanted to catch up....

Fourth of July we spent in Enterprise. My folks were headed to Logan to take my Sister-in-law home because she stayed a little longer then my brother. That wasn't a problem until the dog got an infection in his.....well, his "junk" if you will, and needed to have an antibiotic everyday. So we volunteered staying the weekend in E-town since it is cooler and I was VERY pregnant.

It was a lot of fun hanging out with Jackson and going to the playground at the school and riding the four wheeler and gator. It was ALL really nice and pleasant until the night of the thunderstorm......You see, my dad has this beautiful chocolate lab, and she is the sweetest thing EVER, but she is a big chicken. So all night long, she barked and howled at the stupid lightening and thunder. I REALLY thought I was going to strangle her by the end of the night.

Oh well, it is a funny memory.

What happens in a month?

I can't believe it's been a month since my last post. So what has happened in a month around here?
Oh, not much....we just had a baby! and holy smokes, I was scared at first, I totally thought I had forgotten how to take care of a tiny one. But it's like riding a bike, you never forget. and if I ever get around to editing I will post some pics.

Thank you for all the well wishes and support. I love you all!
