pArIs FaMiLy PiCs

Jen and Bert are a great couple with the Cutest little Boy that did NOT want his picture taken. But after a little persuasion and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Camera, we finally got some great shots of him. Thanks guys for being so patient in getting these back.

A Transformer must have Blown....

Monday night Ben was wondering what we were going to make for dinner, Stacey (my sister) and I were turning on the Wii for a VERY competitive game of Mario Kart and Jackson begging was begging to play. When all of a sudden......(dun, dun, duuuun) the power went out.

And then it came right back on, but it was only about half power, and it only lasted long enough to find flash lights and candles, and then went back out again.

Ben, who first blamed me for not paying the power bill, stepped outside and saw that everyone as far as he could see had no power. He says

"Huh, a transformer must have blown."

So Stacey and I go out back to check it out, and look at the AMAZING stars that you usually don't get to see in the city because of the lights.

"Well, I guess we are going out to eat," I said

So everyone is slipping their shoes on and I'm trying to get Jackson's on and he tells me,
"I want to stay here."
"How come son, aren't you hungry?"
"I don't want to see the big huge robots, they make it dark, they MEAN."

Poor kid, he thought there were Huge robots outside that had made the power go out. I didn't even know he was listening.

Even after TRYING to explain that there weren't any out there, we were finally able to get him to come with us, only because he got to take his NERF gun to protect us. That's my boy....he's going to make a good big brother. :)

Is it just hormones?

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...
save for a woman who is pregnant and on a hormonal commando surge that could rip King Kong off the tower like a kitty-cat from a tree.

Let's just say....Poor Ben has really had to put up with some hollering from me. This morning I hollered at him and didn't even realize I had until by co-worker was cracking up next to me and Ben was telling me not to holler at him. I had no idea it was going to come out that loud. Sorry Hun I wasn't trying to be mean, it just came out that way.

Public Restrooms

Along time ago, (since....I don't know when), I have HATED going to the bathroom in public places. Think about it....you are in a very public place, and we, as women, have to practically get halfway undressed to relieve ourselves in a 3x5 stall, with Half inch gaps on each side of the door, with an open top and open bottom. PLUS, you have to SMELL everyone's business. GROSS!

Let me first tell you a little story before I speak of etiquette.

The other night Ben, Jackson and I were in a public place, and being pregnant I get to use public restrooms A LOT (Dang it). So I hurry to the Bathroom and was very pleased that it was empty and that there were 10 stalls on each side of the wall. I thought to myself, "Good I won't have to hear anyone use the restroom, surely, of all the stalls in here, they wouldn't use the one RIGHT next to me...right?" So I chose a stall second to the last on the left hand side (next to the Handicapped) and seriously, before I could even squat, somebody rushes into the stall next to me on my right side. I thought "What the hell, there are 19 other stalls in here and you choose the one next to me?" And she must have had to go really bad because before I could curse her anymore she was totally blowing the place up, and of course, on que, I start gagging, LOUDLY

And while all this is happening, a very non-handicapped person goes into the handicap stall on the other side of me. COME ON! Are you serious! there are 18 other stalls in this joint.

Needless to say, I finished quickly and managed not to throw up. Phew!  (it was a close one)

Yes, it was a nice evening out.

My etiquette advice.........
DON'T USE A TOILET RIGHT NEXT TO SOMEBODY THAT WAS THERE FIRST!
Use the stall that is very furthest away.
I know it's not always possible, but people PLEASE, for the love of all pregnant women, do your BEST!

You know, it's not etiquette,  it is common sense and just plain polite, and why wouldn't someone want the privacy? Especially diarrhea lady?
